Revision rules control the number revisions per file. The more revisions you allow the more space that will be taken up on our backup servers. Most customers set the number of revisions to 2 or 3. You can modify this setting by going through the steps below.

 

1. Please open the Vault Monitor by selecting Start->All Programs->Net Access Corporation ->The Vault->The Vault Monitor.

2. Select 'Preferences', located on the left side menu.

3. Click on the 'Revision Rule Settings' tool bar.

4. Lower the 'Default Number of Revision Rules Per File' from the menu. Lowering this to zero will keep ONLY the LATEST version of each of your files. This is the optimal option for
using no extra space for file revisions. Set it to 1 to keep the latest version + one backup revision.

5. To view how much space was saved, Click on 'Run Revision Rules'.

6. Select 'Run Stats', it will calculate the amount of space saved.
