Windows 2000 Dial-Up Networking

Dial-Up Networking (DUN) is a Windows feature that lets your computer connect to the Internet, using a modem and a phone line. The steps below show how to configure your Dial-Up Networking connection. Before you start, you will need to select a local Net Access dial-up number.

Note: Before you configure Dial-Up Networking, please make sure that the dial-up number you have selected is local to you. We cannot be responsible for any long distance charges to your telephone bill. You should use our Local Lookup service to get a list of dial-up numbers, then contact your phone company and confirm that these numbers are local to the location from which you plan to connect to the Internet.

You will notice that Dial-up Networking for Windows 2000 is set up much better than in previous versions of Windows. To get into Dial-Up Networking click on Start => Settings => Network and Dialup Connections. If the connection is already set up and you just need to get into the preferences, click here for the screenshots.
