Windows NT 4.0 Dial-Up NetworkingDial-Up Networking (DUN) is a Windows feature that lets your computer connect to the Internet, using a modem and a phone line. The steps below show how to configure your Dial-Up Networking connection. Before you start, you will need to select a local Net Access dial-up number.
Note: Before you configure Dial-Up Networking, please make sure that the dial-up number you have selected is local to you. We cannot be responsible for any long distance charges to your telephone bill. You should use our Local Lookup service to get a list of dial-up numbers, then contact your phone company and confirm that these numbers are local to the location from which you plan to connect to the Internet.
Step 1: Accessing Dial-Up Networking in Windows NT 4.0
Double click on the My Computer Icon and then the Dial-Up Networking icon.


Step 2:
Click on the More button, then select Edit Entry and then Modem Properties.

Step 3: Basic Tab
To edit the phone number, or to change which modem you are using, click on the Basic tab. The phone number here is the local phone number you will be using to access our service.

Step 4: Server
Next, click on the Servers tab. Make sure you only have TCP/IP and Enable software compression checked. Next, click on the TCP/IP settings button.

Step 5: TCP/IP Settings
Click on Specify name server addresses. Fill in Primary DNS with 207.99.0.1 and Secondary DNS with 207.99.0.2 as shown below. Click OK.

Step 6: Script Tab
Click on the Script tab. This area should be blank or set to 'none' as shown below; you should not need to run a script to access our service.

Step 7: Security
Click on the Security tab. Make sure you have Accept any authentication including clear text checked.

Step 8: X.25
Click on the X.25 tab. This area should be blank or set to 'none,' as shown below.
Click OK and you are done!
