Understanding MX Records To modify Mail
exchanger records you must log in to the Customer Care section of our website. Select Manage DNS from Manage Resources on the left hand column. Click on the ID to the left of your domain name.
Mail
exchanger records are referred to as MX records. MX records specify
what hostname to route emails for your domain. You may have multiple
MX records which are distinguished by priority number. Email will route
to the lowest number first. To enter an MX record for a domain name
leave the Host Name field blank and select IN MX from the Record Type pull down. Enter the priority number under Additional Information and then enter the hostname in the Record Data field followed by a period.
PLEASE NOTE: Excluding a period after the host name in the Record Data field of an MX record will result in failure notices for those emailing your domain.
