Questions
about Billing
|
Q: How does the free 30 day trial work?
A. If you signup for a free 30 day trial, you have
full use of the software and you are entitled to use as much of the
storage space of the plan you signed up for as you wish. There are no
restrictions during your free trial period. You will NOT be billed for
the free trial period. If you have chosen to pay by credit card, your
credit card will be debited for the first time on or about the monthly
anniversary of your signup date. If you have chosen to pay by check,
you will receive a printed invoice in the mail approximately 15 days
before the first monthly anniversary of your signup date.
Q: How am I billed?
A. Once you sign up for The Vault, you will be given
the option of paying by credit card or by check. If you have signed
up for the free 30 day trial you will not be billed for the first month
of service. Thereafter, you will be billed each month on or about the
anniversary of your signup date for the next 30 days of service.
If you choose to be billed by credit card, your credit
card will be debited automatically and you will receive a receipt via
email. If you choose to be billed by check, you will receive a paper
invoice in the mail approximately 15 days before each monthly anniversary
of your sign-up date. Payment is due on the monthly anniversary of your
sign-up date.
Q: Why am I being charged for more than my base plan amount?
A. There are two reasons why you may have been
charged more than your base plan amount. The first reason is if you
have previously purchased additional storage space or additional computers
for your account. The second reason is if you have gone over the storage
space that your plan is allotted. To reduce your storage space, you
may want to delete files that you no longer need backed up or use the
revision wizard to delete old versions of files that you no longer need.
Q: How do I change my billing address or credit card information?
A. To change your method of payment or your credit
card information, please call us at 800-NET-ME-36 or email us at
billing@nac.net.
To change your billing address, you may also login to your Customer Care Account at
https://www.nac.net/customerService/cclogin.asp and Click
Billing Info. On this screen, you will be able to edit your user information.
Q: What happens if I go over the amount of storage space that I
have purchased?
A. If the amount of data that you back up (after
compression) exceeds the amount of storage included in your plan (plus
any additional storage that you have signed up for), you will receive
a notification via email approximately 7 days before the end of your
billing cycle. You will be able to continue to backup and use the service
uninterrupted. This 7 day period gives you the opportunity to delete
files that no longer need backing up or to purchase additional storage
space. If you are still over the purchased amount at the time of your
next billing cycle, you will be billed for additional storage space
at the rate of $0.0099 per megabyte (the equivalent of $4.95 per 500
megabytes) if you have a home user plan or $0.00495 per megabyte (the
equivalent of $4.95 per 1 gigabyte) if you have a business plan.
Q: What do I do if I have a billing question that is not answered
here?
A. Please email us at
billing@nac.net or call
us at 800-NET-ME-36.
Q: How do I cancel my account?
A. We hope that you will never need to cancel your
online backup service account. However, if you do need to cancel
your account, please contact our billing department at 800-NET-ME-36. Your account will be
cancelled at the end of your current monthly billing cycle (or immediately
if you are in a Free Trial period). You will not receive a credit for
any unused days in the current billing month.
